Application of axial flow pumps

The purpose of axial pumps of the OV type (OPV) is to pump water with suspended particles. The maximum level of their mass concentration is 0.3%, and the size does not exceed 0.1 mm. The proportion of abrasive particles is up to 2%, and the temperature is up to 35C° (308 K). According to a special order, the pumps can be manufactured specifically for the seawater pumping process.

Structure

Axial flow pumps have similar design features and include the following Assembly units:

• body parts,
• guide bearings,
• the rotor,

With the help of body parts, the pump flow path is formed, which includes parts:

• transition ring,
• impeller chambers,
• of the diffuser,
• straightening device and tap.

Water is used to lubricate guide bearings with rubber inserts.

The rotor includes a shaft and an impeller. The system that controls the rotation of the blades of the OPV-185 and OPV-260 pumps can be manual or mechanical (stopped pump) or electro-hydraulic (running or stopped pump).

The pump flow parts are made of carbon steel and cast iron, the impeller blades and impeller chamber are made of corrosion-resistant steel. The seawater pumps are made entirely of corrosion-resistant steels.
